Tigers & Pyros Mudbath....

Sunday 20th November Baful game, Robertson Sports Centre, Paisley.

10yardline made the trip to the home of the Pyros, the American Football team from the University of West of Scotland. They were to face the Glasgow University Tigers team in their second game of the season. The first game against Stirling seeing them go down by quite a margin.

In true Scottish manner, as soon as the game began. so did the rain, light at first, but before the end of the first quarter it would be hammering down, and the grey sky did little to illuminate the action on the field. It was going to be a real challenge to keep the camera dry, whilst trying to get it to take pictures in the low light. In fact several of the images in the slideshow were only rescued with the help of some PC software magic.

However it was a good game to follow, with both sides gaining yards and it must be said, occasionally losing them as well. It was going to be hard to guess the eventual winner. At the half the Pyros were ahead, but the second half saw the resumption of the battle, and the Tigers closed in on the gap. By full time the Tigers had edged ahead, and came out game winners.

The Pyros had played well, but the weather played its' part too and inbetween all this the rain continued to fall.
