Pirates attack....

First to face the West Coast Trojans on home soil this season, were a team that graced the Premier Division last year.

The East Kilbride Pirates have played in the top league for many years and fielded a very capable side, the Trojans would be tested to the limit if they were to give the Pirates a run for their money.

A showcase game for Scottish US Football and watched by a good turnout of supporters, including Number 81 for the former Scottish Claymores - Running back Scott Couper - the game would be a great and long awaited matchup.

On the field, both teams gave it their best shot and the game was never short of action and a great advertisement for the sport here in Scotland.

The years spent at in the BAFL Premier League had honed the Pirates and despite the Trojans putting up a very valiant attempt, the Pirates were, on this occasion, the stronger team and finished up the winners.

Final result:-
West Coast Trojans 12 - East Kilbride Pirates 62
