Storm hit Scotstoun.....

The Dundee Hurricanes took to the Trojans home field on Sunday 7th August and within minutes of the game starting conditions befitting a Hurricane developed. Ok maybe that is just a little over exaggerated. Heavy and consistent rain began falling on the two teams. The slippery conditions added to the already high expectations and excitement of the game.

The Hurricanes needed to win this game in order to keep their post season hopes alive, while the Trojans would be crowned "Div 2 North Champions" if they managed to hold the Dundee team down. But it was clear that the visitors were here to win, and the first half saw the Hurricanes score and go ahead by the half.

The Trojans, who had left the field a little subdued at halftime, reemerged from the players entrance and immediately got down to business with a short drive ending in a TD.

Spirits on the home side lifted. The team talk at the half appeared to have focused the players and despite a very brave campaign by the Hurricanes, it was the Trojans who took control of the scoring in the second half of the game.

And as the rain began to fizzle out it was the Trojans who were now realizing their goals and at game end the team banded together for a little post game celebration and the realization that they were Division 2 North Champions and with a game in hand.
